Job Description
This full-time, on-site Regional Vice President role in the United States leads the mid-market general business team at Elastic. Elastic offers search, security and observability technology, and this position is a leadership role in a segment the company views as high-potential. The job focuses on growing revenue from existing customers and new logos by building a sales approach that is both repeatable and scalable. The posting is aimed at a sales leader who has run mid-market teams and wants to help users solve difficult problems through search.
The leader manages a group of mid-market Account Executives and is expected to meet their bookings goals. The role requires building detailed knowledge of the platform, product messaging, the partner network and competitors. The Regional Vice President also shapes sales plans, pay structures and customer segments, and makes sure the team reaches its quotas by working with Elastic's sales methodology. The leader encourages an environment of openness, creative thinking, collaboration and ongoing refinement, and builds working relationships with contributors in open source and with partner organizations. Travel is regular, supporting deal creation, closing and management support, and the leader works with the wider leadership group to keep customer experiences consistent.
Candidates should have led mid-market sales groups successfully and built a repeatable sales strategy that can grow. Analytical strength, decisions grounded in data and experience creating sales processes are important. The person should be comfortable in a quick-moving, technical client acquisition business, have a steady record of helping teams beat quota, and bring SaaS sales leadership experience and an entrepreneurial approach. Exposure to open source business models is a bonus. The typical starting base range is 170,000 to 240,000 USD, the target variable range is 113,200 to 160,000 USD, and on-target earnings range from 283,200 to 400,000 USD, based on a 60/40 split. Benefits include an employer 401k matching of one dollar for every dollar contributed, up to 6 percent of eligible earnings, and eligibility for the stock program.
