ŌURA is seeking a Revenue Accounting Manager to join its growing Revenue and O2C Accounting team. ŌURA creates award-winning wearable technology, including the Oura Ring and a companion app, helping millions of users monitor and improve sleep quality, readiness, and daily activity. In this position, the professional will oversee retail business accounting functions, refine and scale financial workflows for incoming distribution partners, and collaborate with Technical Accounting to implement proper revenue guidelines.

The position involves guiding a dedicated team through routine financial closes, analyzing retail revenue patterns, and enhancing standard operating procedures to maintain audit readiness and strong internal controls.
The position is remote across continental United States time zones, though ŌURA does not accept applications from residents in Alaska, Delaware, Iowa, Mississippi, Nebraska, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. Compensation ranges from USD 117,300 to 169,000 per year depending on geographic region and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Revenue Accounting team by establishing priorities and fostering continuous improvement
- Manage monthly and quarterly financial close tasks for retail revenue, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Record and evaluate accruals, reserves, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable entries according to relevant guidance
- Collaborate with Technical Accounting to apply ASC 606 principles consistently across retail promotions and programs
- Design and optimize scalable accounting frameworks during the onboarding of new retail and distribution partners
- Partner with Business Systems, Retail, Revenue Operations, and Logistics to ensure accurate financial data flows
- Develop and update standard operating procedures and documentation to support internal controls and audit readiness
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting background, focusing heavily on revenue accounting and ASC 606
- At least 2 years of direct people leadership experience encompassing coaching and performance management
- Proven background directing day-to-day accounting execution, delegating tasks, and prioritizing workload
- Prior retail accounting exposure involving retailer reconciliations, deductions, reserves, and close support
- Solid working knowledge of ASC 606 and its translation into practical operational workflows
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving capabilities handling large transactional datasets
- Effective communication skills to articulate accounting concepts clearly to non-accounting stakeholders
Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant designation or equivalent is preferred
- Previous exposure to high-growth or global corporate settings
- Familiarity with NetSuite or comparable enterprise resource planning platforms
- Experience collaborating with systems teams on revenue configuration and process optimization
- Background supporting audits, building playbooks, and operating in public-company or SOX-ready environments
