Pathward is hiring a Risk Analyst Senior - Financial Risk & Analytics to join its Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) team, operating within the office of the Chief Risk Officer. Pathward functions as a financial empowerment organization focused on expanding financial availability, choice, and opportunity while eliminating barriers traditionally imposed by financial institutions. This position functions as a second line of defense for the banking institution, operating remotely with additional office sites located in Sioux Falls, Phoenix, Louisville, Troy, Franklin, and Easton.
This role suits professionals with a strong background in credit analysis, data analytics, and risk modeling who want to contribute to enterprise-level risk management. The selected candidate will engage in continuous financial evaluations, establish exposure reporting frameworks, and provide constructive challenge on risk assessments. Responsibilities
- Perform ongoing financial and credit evaluations of third parties and key partners to evaluate overall financial health, solvency, liquidity, profitability, capital adequacy, and institutional exposure
- Help establish exposure reporting, regular metric tracking, and partner reserve management functions within TPRM
- Conduct control testing on financial risk assessments executed by the first line of defense
- Offer credible challenge regarding risk assessments, control efficacy, and risk acceptance submissions
- Collect and analyze information drawn from various databases, enterprise platforms, business intelligence tools, and data visualization systems
Requirements
- Demonstrated background in credit and financial analysis, ongoing surveillance, portfolio analysis, risk modeling, and data analytics
- Background in evaluating risks within merchant acquiring, card issuing, consumer or commercial lending, payments, or equivalent enterprise-level third-party risk management
- Proficiency in utilizing Generative AI
- Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Effective presentation and writing capabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in business or a related discipline
- MBA, relevant master degree, or equivalent experience
