In this position, you will oversee a large portfolio of current clients, acting as the primary owner for both retention and account expansion. This is an active closing role where you will manage the full sales cycle, handle contract renewals, drive pipeline creation, and negotiate agreements.
The position is well-suited for emerging sales professionals with prior customer-facing experience, such as background in business development, customer success, renewals, or account management. Success in the role requires balancing high-volume accounts through data-driven prioritization, automation, and repeatable workflows. You will collaborate closely with internal teams including Solutions Architects, Developer Support, and Product to secure positive outcomes for clients. Vercel operates as a remote-first organization, though individuals residing within a set commuting radius of company offices in San Francisco, New York, London, or Berlin are expected to work on-site on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire commercial relationship for a portfolio of existing customers
- Drive the renewal process from preparation to final negotiation and close
- Build an expansion pipeline by prospecting within current accounts and reaching out to new stakeholders
- Conduct discovery sessions, product demonstrations, and commercial negotiations
- Prioritize actions across a high-volume portfolio using account data, product usage, and customer signals
- Re-engage inactive clients and identify new opportunities for value creation
- Partner with internal teams like Solutions Architects, Developer Support, and Customer Success
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate records in internal tracking and forecasting systems
- Utilize automation, AI, and structured workflows to scale customer engagement efficiently
Requirements

Qualifications

- Background working with technical buyers such as developers and engineering leaders
- Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or ZoomInfo
- Experience experimenting with AI, automation, or custom-built workflows
