InMobi is seeking a Software Development Engineer III to join the SSP Exchange team and help shape its AI-powered, omnichannel platform. This position suits an experienced backend and data engineering professional who enjoys working at the intersection of large-scale systems, ad tech, and artificial intelligence.
In this capacity, you will collaborate with cross-functional partners to build mission-critical, high-throughput architectures and automate the digital advertising lifecycle. You will focus on designing distributed systems that deliver strong performance, reliability, and low-latency processing. Responsibilities
- Design and build large-scale backend services, microservices, and APIs for high-throughput data systems
- Construct and maintain batch and real-time data pipelines leveraging tools such as Apache Spark, Kafka, and Flink
- Partner with data scientists, product managers, analysts, and engineers to turn complex business needs into scalable architectures
- Enhance the reliability and performance of distributed systems while guaranteeing low-latency data ingestion and processing
- Promote high code standards, modern engineering workflows, observability, containerization, and fault tolerance while mentoring junior staff
- Spearhead architectural decisions, guide technical conversations, and help shape the platform roadmap
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of backend engineering experience within high-traffic, large-scale environments
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Scala, or Java, alongside familiarity with Python for data applications
- Foundational expertise in concurrency, distributed systems, algorithms, and data structures
- Practical background utilizing modern data infrastructure including Kafka, Spark, Databricks, Airflow, ClickHouse, or Presto
- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes, alongside cloud-native platforms on Azure or GCP
Qualifications
- Prior background working within AdTech, E-Commerce, or Martech fields
- Familiarity with the machine learning model lifecycle covering feedback loops, training, serving, and monitoring
- Exposure to AI-driven user experiences such as personalization, conversational UI, and suggestion engines
- Experience with agentic development including LangChain, Windsurf, or Cursor for developer productivity and business impact
