Pavago is hiring a full-time Senior Accounting Manager to handle financial operations for multiple business units and locations. This remote position suits an analytical professional who can take charge of the month-end close, financial reporting, and accounting controls while helping the organization scale its financial infrastructure.
The person in this role will oversee profit and loss statements, payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, as well as execute balance sheet, credit card, and bank reconciliations using QuickBooks Online. Responsibilities also include ensuring compliance with US GAAP, investigating financial discrepancies, conducting audit procedures, and collaborating with the VP of Accounting and other company leaders.
Candidates must possess significant background in accounting, familiarity with QuickBooks Online, and expertise in multi-entity management. The selection process involves a video interview, a client interview, and an offer stage.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end close process across multiple entities and locations
- Review and manage profit and loss statements, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and financial files by business unit
- Conduct and examine credit card, bank, and balance sheet reconciliations utilizing QuickBooks Online
- Verify that financial documentation is precise and complies with US GAAP and domestic accounting standards
- Evaluate financial data to spot risks, errors, and atypical trends
- Execute and assess audit procedures for revenue, inventory, fixed assets, debt, equity, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll
- Refine and test internal controls along with accounting workflows
- Assist with external audits and keep proper documentation
- Collaborate directly with the VP of Accounting and executive leadership during company growth
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional accounting background, featuring direct management of the month-end close
- Solid understanding of US GAAP and domestic accounting principles
- Background in handling accounting functions across multiple business units, locations, or entities
- Expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities
- Practical knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll
- Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or a related discipline
- 2 to 4 years of public accounting or external audit background
- CPA certification
- Background working in a rapid-growth or multi-location enterprise
- Experience in upgrading accounting processes, systems, and controls
