In this hands-on capacity, the chosen professional will architect and refine the systems driving the organization's audio features, including streaming speech-to-text pipelines, intelligent text reformatting, context-sensitive mention recognition, and automated voice-to-action workflows. The scope includes evaluating and benchmarking automatic speech recognition models across multiple metrics such as latency, accuracy, and operational cost, while collaborating closely with product and engineering groups to deploy capabilities across web, desktop, mobile, and browser extension formats. Additionally, the engineer will investigate multimodal AI integrations combining visual, vocal, and textual inputs for future assistant products.

- Design and optimize real-time speech-to-text pipelines including streaming ASR, VAD, and audio processing

- Create and support LLM-driven post-processing tasks like grammar correction, filler removal, formatting, and mention resolution
- Construct voice-to-action systems that translate natural language into structured workspace commands
- Assess, benchmark, and integrate ASR models such as Whisper, AssemblyAI, and Fireworks for accuracy, latency, and cost
- Work alongside product and platform divisions to release voice functionalities across desktop, mobile, web, and browser extension environments
- Investigate multimodal AI capabilities encompassing screen, voice, and text for future assistant experiences
