Bosch is seeking a Senior Android Developer to design, develop, and support advanced mobile applications for the Android platform. This position involves collaborating across functional teams to build new features, enhance application responsiveness, and maintain code reliability. The ideal candidate will work with third-party libraries, APIs, and IoT device integrations such as Bluetooth Low Energy and Wi-Fi.

Responsibilities
- Design, construct, and maintain advanced Android applications utilizing Kotlin and Java
- Partner with cross-functional departments to plan, design, and release new features
- Optimize application performance, quality, and responsiveness
- Troubleshoot issues, resolve bugs, and eliminate bottlenecks
- Maintain automated testing, code organization, and code quality standards
- Research and adopt new technologies to improve development efficiency
- Write unit tests to verify code reliability, usability, and edge cases
- Integrate third-party libraries and connect with APIs
- Engage in code reviews to maintain quality and share knowledge

Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java
- Deep knowledge of Android Jetpack, the Android SDK, and application lifecycles
- Experience implementing core Android communication frameworks including WorkManager, Retrofit, OkHttp, Services, and Broadcast Receivers
- Background working with Wi-Fi and BLE for Internet of Things device integration
- Solid command of object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns such as MVVM, MVC, MVP, and Clean Architecture
- Experience connecting mobile applications to backend services through RESTful APIs
- Thorough understanding of threading using Coroutines, memory management, and app performance tuning
- Between six and eight years of professional experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology degree from a recognized institution
- Familiarity with dependency injection frameworks like Hilt, Dagger, or Koin
- Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines for mobile software
- Familiarity with design tools such as Sketch and Figma
- Exposure to hardware communication debugging and IoT protocols like Websocket and MQTT
