Bosch is seeking a Sr.Java Developer_PT_PACE for a full-time, on-site position. This role requires an experienced software engineer to build and maintain enterprise-grade software solutions utilizing modern frameworks.
The successful candidate will take an AI-first approach to software engineering, utilizing artificial intelligence tools for coding tasks, testing, refactoring, and debugging.
Responsibilities
- Design and build enterprise applications utilizing Spring, Spring Boot, and Java
- Incorporate AI-powered tools into daily software creation tasks
- Use AI assistance for generating code, refactoring, debugging, writing unit tests, documenting, and reviewing code
- Build RESTful APIs and microservices based on software engineering principles
- Produce clean, reusable, and efficient code that follows established practices
- Build unit and integration tests for software quality and reliability
- Troubleshoot production defects, solve technical problems, and improve performance
- Work with architects, product owners, QA engineers, and developers to fulfill business needs
- Take part in architectural decisions, technical design conversations, and code reviews
- Maintain system security, scalability, reliability, and maintainability
- Assess AI-created code for security vulnerabilities, accuracy, performance, and adherence to project rules
Requirements
- 9 to 12 years of practical experience in Java software development
- Proficiency in Core Java, object-oriented programming, multithreading, concurrency, collections, and exception handling
- Hands-on background with Spring Boot and the Spring Framework
- Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices
- Knowledge of software design principles, patterns, and clean coding methods
- Practical background in AI-first development methodologies
- Skill in validating, testing, debugging, and refining AI-created code
- Problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Experience with GitHub Copilot for code completion, testing, and refactoring
- Background using Claude or similar AI assistants for debugging, documentation, and code analysis
- Familiarity with prompt engineering and AI-assisted software practices
- Experience using Git-based version control and collaboration workflows
- Exposure to cloud-native development, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines
