Accesa is a technology company with two decades of experience operating from Cluj-Napoca and Oradea, employing over 1,200 IT professionals to deliver software development and digital solutions across retail, manufacturing, finance, and banking sectors. In this role, the engineer will contribute to a client project for a global enterprise in the life science, agriculture, and healthcare industries.
The successful applicant will work on a cross-platform mobile application built with Flutter, Dart, C++, Swift, and Kotlin, integrated with GCP, Firebase, and Google Analytics. This position centers on managing an Android IoT application and its surrounding device fleet ecosystem.
This role suits an experienced mobile developer who takes full technical ownership of systems, collaborates across multiple functional teams, and utilizes artificial intelligence tools to enhance productivity and code quality. Candidates should possess strong problem-solving capabilities, structured working methods, and proficiency in English.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Android IoT application end to end, overseeing architecture, implementation, feature delivery, and code maintainability.
- Partner with product, design, backend, QA, and support units.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and fix application defects, crashes, and production issues.
- Assist with release preparation, deployment, rollouts, and post-release verification.
- Enhance codebase standards, test coverage, and code review processes.
- Address technical debt and operational feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Meet operational metrics regarding uptime, stability, latency, security, and incident response.
- Maintain technical documentation, onboarding files, runbooks, and secure development practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of professional experience in Android app development, Kotlin, and Firebase.
- Familiarity with Android IoT fleet management, including FOTA roll-outs, monitoring, and firmware validation.
- Understanding of incident and problem management principles, such as root cause analysis and service restoration.
- Background in mobile development using Flutter alongside source code tools like Git or GitLab.
- Ability to utilize AI tools responsibly for productivity enhancement and prompt engineering.
- Strong English communication skills.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with the Android operating system architecture like the boot sequence, updates, MCU, and recovery.
- Native development experience with Flutter, Swift, or C++.
- Exposure to mobile applications designed for IoT devices, device pairing, diagnostics, and connectivity.
- Knowledge of Android firmware rollouts, canary releases, rollback procedures, and fleet operations.
- Familiarity with AWS infrastructure or serverless frameworks.
