As a Senior Application Security Engineer, the professional will contribute to the application security program. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering staff on threat modeling for application and artificial intelligence architectures
- Review and filter SCA, SAST, DAST, and CSPM scan results to supply accurate vulnerabilities to engineering teams
- Participate in network and infrastructure vulnerability management
- Work alongside developers to ensure timely fixes for identified security issues
- Conduct internal penetration tests, security reviews, and safety assessments
- Write scripts and custom automation tools for tasks such as patch management, log analysis, and incident detection using Python, JavaScript, or Go
- Enforce artificial intelligence security guidelines
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of application security experience combining threat modeling, secure design reviews, code reviews, or penetration testing
- Strong business acumen paired with excellent communication abilities
- Familiarity with coding or scripting languages like Python and Go
- Background in web application penetration testing through channels like bug bounties or CTFs
- Knowledge and practical experience regarding Amazon Web Services security and engineering
- Experience testing or developing web application technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Professional security certifications including OSCP, OSWP, eCPPT, eWPT, or Security+
- Familiarity with Linux, Docker, Terraform, and interacting with REST APIs
