This professional will guide a team of data analysts while concurrently remaining active in technical data tasks, overseeing the accuracy and delivery of medical technology research products, and vetting new information domains such as claims data and prescription metrics.

Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor three to four data analysts within the initial six to twelve months
- Maintain hands-on involvement with data operations while delegating tasks across the team

- Coach staff members on utilizing AI agents and automation tools in daily workflows
- Oversee overall data quality and precision for research reports, company quality assurance, coverage updates, and ad-hoc investigations
- Review and determine methodology choices to guarantee processing rigor and consistency
- Collaborate with the MedTech Research team to align data products with research priorities and client requirements
- Evaluate potential new information domains including claims records, prescription data, and adjacent healthcare datasets
- Lead the data group in building methodology and validation frameworks for novel data sources
- Translate sector objectives into team execution and communicate priorities, timelines, and risks to leadership
Requirements
- Possess four to eight or more years of professional background in data analytics, data science, or data product development
- Demonstrate strong technical capability handling large-scale, real-world datasets and creating robust methodologies for imperfect information
- Bring professional context working with healthcare, life sciences, pharma, biotech, or medical device data
- Exhibit strong problem-solving and analytical judgment in ambiguous situations
- Maintain a clear and direct communication style suited for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Authorized to work without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future
Qualifications
- Possess specialized MedTech domain expertise
- Demonstrate previous people management background handling a small team of analysts or acting as a team lead with mentorship duties
- Hold experience in alternative data, financial data products, or investor-facing analytics
- Show a proven ability to evaluate and scope new data sources from initial identification through commercial viability
- Demonstrate a track record of building new data assets from zero to one
