This leadership position is responsible for guiding Clinical Risk & Insights operations, centering on root cause analysis, systemic investigations, and clinical execution risk intelligence. Responsibilities
- Define root cause analysis methodologies, standards, and guidelines while guiding intricate investigations to avoid recurring issues
- Handle the triage and executive escalation of critical, cross-portfolio clinical execution problems
- Deliver clinical risk insights, trend reports, and decision briefings to executive leadership committees
- Challenge inadequate root causes and propose effective corrective actions or control redesigns
- Lead cross-functional initiatives for systemic improvements extending beyond a single study
- Guide the risk-based quality management strategy and maturity roadmap
- Direct departmental strategy, talent management, budget administration, and resource allocation
- Forge collaborative relationships across global clinical compliance, study delivery teams, and external partners
Requirements
- Doctorate degree with 4 years of directly related experience, Master's degree with 8 years of directly related experience, or Bachelor's degree with 10 years of directly related experience
- 4 years of direct managerial and/or leadership experience
Qualifications
- M.D., D.O., PhD, PharmD, or Master's degree
- 11 years of experience in life sciences or a medically related field
- 8 years of experience in biopharmaceutical clinical research
- Experience managing direct reports at the management level
- Background in clinical risk management or risk-based quality management
- Experience analyzing quality event, audit, inspection, and readiness trends
- Familiarity with analytics, automation, or knowledge-management tools
