Skillsoft is currently looking for a Senior Director, Commercial Operations to join its team. In this position, the professional will help design, implement, and run a newly integrated commercial function that encompasses pricing, deal desk operations, contract negotiations, and RFP support. This is a hands-on position focused on building and then permanently managing core commercial processes, systems, and analytics.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in strategic transformation and analytical business operations within software-as-a-service environments. The role involves evaluating end-to-end commercial policies, defining technical requirements for CPQ and contract lifecycle tools, supporting live pilot operations, and guiding continuous improvements in execution speed and quality.

Responsibilities
- Assess and map out end-to-end commercial workflows, policies, and resources spanning the entire deal lifecycle
- Establish system requirements and oversee implementation across approval workflows, CPQ platforms, and contract lifecycle management tools
- Participate in live operational pilots and refine designs based on practical outcomes
- Manage core commercial processes as a subject matter expert and handle exception requests
- Conduct regular evaluations regarding pricing, discounts, and deal data to guide policy and commercial decisions
Requirements
- At least 12 years of strategic transformation experience featuring analytical process, business, and technology exposure in SaaS or PaaS settings
- Minimum of 2 years of experience leading a team and achieving measurable outcomes
- Direct, hands-on business background in commercial operations, including familiarity with pricing systems, contract management, deal desks, and Configure, Price, Quote technology
- Demonstrated proficiency in data modeling, analytics, and executing changes within active operations
- Executive-level written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 20 percent
