Job Description

Ebury is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Onboarding team in London. The role is hybrid, with four days in the office and one day working from home. It sits within the engineering division of a fast-growing FinTech and offers the chance to work on services that matter a great deal to the business, with a measurable impact.

The engineer will design, build, test and release scalable software for Ebury's global financial platform, partnering with product, design and fellow engineers. Responsibilities cover the full development lifecycle, from early technical design through to deployment and ongoing maintenance. The engineer will also contribute to architecture reviews and help uphold good engineering practice through code reviews, automated testing and CI/CD. The posting notes that new joiners are expected to ship production code within their first week.

The role suits a degree-qualified software engineer with strong grounding in core computing ideas such as data structures, algorithms, design and complexity analysis. Experience in fintech or financial services is required, as is practical ability in at least one contemporary programming language. Ebury also values structured problem-solving and collaboration. The company encourages responsible use of AI tools, provided the engineer can fully understand and own the code they produce.
