Turing is hiring a Senior Full-Stack Engineer for a full-time, hybrid position based in the Mumbai office, requiring three days per week on-site. Turing connects frontier AI research with enterprise deployment by working with leading AI labs and Fortune 500 companies to create datasets, reinforcement learning environments, and custom agentic systems. In this hands-on role, the engineer will build and maintain applications for asset management clients, including private equity dashboards and enterprise software.
The successful candidate will take charge of complex features throughout their lifecycle, from initial requirements and technical design to release, deployment, and ongoing production support. Responsibilities span Python backend development, React frontend creation, API integrations, and database management. Practitioners will also utilize AI-enhanced development tools such as Claude and Codex across all stages of design, implementation, testing, debugging, and code review.
This position requires deep technical ownership rather than mere task coordination. Responsibilities
- Design and implement production features using Python and React
- Develop and maintain backend applications, services, and APIs in Python
- Create responsive and user-friendly web interfaces with React
- Manage the complete delivery lifecycle from requirements and technical design to testing, deployment, and production support
- Build integrations across APIs, relational databases, and enterprise systems
- Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and maintain reliable software
- Write automated tests, participate in code reviews, and maintain technical documentation
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of professional software engineering experience
- Track record of delivering production full-stack applications with technical ownership of complex features
- Hands-on expertise building backend applications, services, and APIs using Python
- Practical experience developing and maintaining production web interfaces with React
- Fundmental knowledge of enterprise applications, including authentication, application design, testing, deployment, SQL, data modeling, and relational databases
- Experience integrating applications with APIs and enterprise systems, deploying on cloud platforms, and supporting production systems
- Practical background using AI development tools such as Claude or Codex across the software development lifecycle
Qualifications
- Experience building and testing AI agents that combine large language models with tools or APIs for multi-step workflows
