Job Description
Elastic is a search AI company offering cloud-based solutions for search, security, and observability, with its platform utilized by over half of the Fortune 500. The organization is currently seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Developer to focus on observability within its Streams UI team. This position centers on building and improving user interfaces, working extensively on Fleet, which serves as the central management tool for Elastic Agent in Kibana, and Streams, the company's new log data management utility.
In this role, the software engineer will design intuitive interface components using React, Node.js, and TypeScript, connect front-end features with backend services, and oversee complex engineering tasks independently. The ideal candidate possesses solid production-level experience with full-stack JavaScript, a track record of handling projects from inception to launch, and strong architecture judgments. Team members collaborate asynchronously across time zones using GitHub and Slack, partnering closely with product managers and designers.
Elastic operates as a distributed company supporting diverse perspectives and flexible scheduling. Compensation for this position consists of a base salary determined by market benchmarks and individual expertise, paired with comprehensive benefits that include health coverage, paid time off, parental leave, and matching charitable donations.

Requirements
- Production background in full-stack JavaScript utilizing React on the front end and Node.js on the back end, preferably with TypeScript

- Experience utilizing AI-assisted software development tooling
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with enthusiasm for asynchronous collaboration
Qualifications
- Familiarity with Reactflow
- Exposure to the Elastic stack, observability tools, or data and log ingestion pipelines
- Background in Go, Kubernetes, or cloud-native software creation
- Practice building large user interfaces managing extensive data sets, tables, filtering, and search
- Background working with real-time or streaming data
- Prior involvement in open-source projects or developer-facing platform teams
- Experience mentoring engineers or leading small project squads
