The organization is hiring a Senior Full Stack Software Developer for its Observability division to join the Streams UI team. This group builds Fleet, which serves as the central management console for Elastic Agent within Kibana, along with Streams, a new tool created to handle log data ingestion, parsing, enrichment, retention, and organization.
This position involves collaborating asynchronously across global time zones alongside designers, product managers, and other engineers via GitHub and Slack. The role suits a generalist software professional who enjoys tackling loosely defined problems end-to-end, steering architecture discussions, promoting code reusability, and mentoring peers while leveraging AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities
- Design and build intuitive user interface components using React, TypeScript, and Node.js
- Integrate front-end elements with back-end services for a smooth user experience
- Conduct usability testing and collect feedback to drive ongoing product enhancements
- Own complex, loosely defined problems from start to finish and establish architectural standards
- Perform code reviews to ensure quality, security, and adherence to best practices
- Partner with product managers and designers to translate mockups into functional UI components
Requirements
- Production background in full-stack JavaScript, specifically TypeScript, React, and Node.js
- Demonstrated history of leading non-trivial projects independently with minimal supervision
- Familiarity utilizing AI-assisted development tooling to accelerate feature building and fix complex systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills tailored for distributed asynchronous collaboration
Qualifications
- Familiarity with Reactflow
- Prior exposure to the Elastic stack, observability tooling, or log and data-ingestion pipelines
- Background in Go, Kubernetes, or cloud-native application development
- Experience developing large user interfaces featuring extensive data management, search, filtering, and tables
- Previous open-source contribution or developer-facing platform team experience
- Mentorship background or experience leading a small project team
