Wise seeks a Senior iOS Engineer II for its Account Mobile team located in London. This on-site, full-time position involves crafting responsive and polished experiences for users managing multi-currency needs.
The role sits within a mobile engineering community of more than 60 engineers, where professionals influence application-wide standards, improve user experience, and elevate code quality. The person in this position will partner with product management, analytics, and design professionals to build consumer account features, shape application homepages, and drive broader technical initiatives.
Candidates will plan, scope, and deliver customer-centric native application and web features while maintaining overall project health, stability, and performance. The position suits engineers who enjoy cross-functional collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and contributing to scalable global products.
Responsibilities
- Plan, scope, and build consistent experiences across native applications and the web
- Collaborate with product, design, analytics, and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful features
- Take responsibility for the overall health, quality, performance, and stability of the iOS project
- Work with iOS and Android engineers to keep the project current with new technologies and best practices
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code to maintain responsive application performance and fast load times
Requirements
- Proven experience building and deploying customer-delighting mobile applications
- Proficiency in Swift
- Familiarity with software architectural patterns such as MVC, MVVM, or VIPER
- Desire to write testable code
- Understanding of REST API design
- Strong product mindset and passion for user experience with data-driven decision-making skills
- Excellent communication skills for conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team as well as solve problems independently and proactively
Qualifications
- Experience with SwiftUI, Structured Concurrency, or GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with internationalisation patterns for multi-market applications
