Upsun, a software factory creating unified platforms for human-AI workflows and cloud application deployment, is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer. Reporting to the IT Director, this position supports the technology infrastructure for a remote organization of over 250 personnel. The role focuses on identity and access management, Google Workspace administration, device deployment, automation, and SaaS governance, balancing operational reliability with employee experience.
The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in at least one core area—such as Okta, Google Workspace, or JumpCloud—alongside broad IT engineering experience, automation skills, and a track record of delivering systems improvements. Candidates should have a background in endpoint management, scripting tools like Python, and security compliance frameworks including ISO 27001 or SOC 2 Type 2. The interview process comprises four Google Meet discussions, and background checks are mandatory for all positions.
Responsibilities
- Manage and improve identity and access services using Okta for single sign-on, provisioning, and access policies
- Administer Google Workspace configurations for users, groups, Gmail, Drive, and collaboration settings
- Lead the deployment and ongoing administration of JumpCloud and device management practices across macOS, Windows, and Linux
- Design automated onboarding, role transitions, and offboarding workflows using tools like Okta Workflows, n8n, Python, and APIs
- Assess existing systems, investigate complex service issues, and drive continuous technical improvements
- Oversee SaaS tool governance, application setups, integrations, and access review practices
- Partner with Security, Risk, and Audit teams to implement controls and automate evidence collection for ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type 2
- Lead technical projects from scoping through rollout and mentor colleagues through documentation and knowledge sharing
Requirements
- Approximately six or more years of professional background in IT engineering, systems administration, identity, or endpoint management
- Hands-on experience across identity, collaboration platforms, endpoint management, and SaaS administration
- Deep expertise in at least one core technology among Okta, Google Workspace, or JumpCloud
- Experience deploying or enhancing an MDM or endpoint management platform
- Ability to build reliable automation via workflow applications, APIs, webhooks, and scripting languages such as Python
- Experience implementing security controls, access reviews, or device policies
Qualifications
- Background supporting mergers and acquisitions, including integrating identity, Google Workspace, devices, or SaaS tools
- Experience working within a developer-heavy or engineering-led corporate environment
- Familiarity supporting both ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type 2 compliance with automated evidence collection
- Professional proficiency in the French language
