Responsibilities
- Deliver strategic and tactical legal counsel concerning copyright and music publishing issues
- Collaborate with Business Affairs to formulate, write, and negotiate licensing contracts with publishers, CMOs, and PROs
- Provide guidance on regulatory, statutory, and contractual requirements for utilizing musical works on digital platforms
- Evaluate upcoming commercial initiatives, market rollouts, and platform features against current rights frameworks
Requirements
- Possess ten or more years of relevant law firm or internal counsel experience
- Demonstrate substantial transactional background in music publishing
- Show verified capability in negotiating sophisticated contracts between digital platforms and music publishing rights holders
- Communicate clearly and succinctly through strong written, verbal, and presentation abilities
- Demonstrate a growth mindset and alignment with the company values
