Job Description
This Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager role at Salla owns the merchant journey from start to finish, combining strategy with practical delivery. The listing notes that more than 100,000 merchants operate on the platform, and each one passes through stages: finding Salla, getting set up, publishing their first product and completing their first sale, and then either growing or stalling. The manager defines those stages, the audience cohorts and the behavioural triggers that move merchants forward.
The position comes with rich behavioural data covering signup through to sale, plus direct routes to every merchant. The manager is expected to build the system deliberately rather than refine someone else's design. Campaigns run over WhatsApp, email, push notifications and in-app messages, and the goal is to turn merchant data into tailored journeys that move each shop toward activation, retention and growth.
Three areas of responsibility are named. Lifecycle strategy and architecture covers stage definitions, segmentation, triggers and one consolidated journey map. Practical execution and experimentation covers campaigns the manager builds and launches personally, with tests measured on activation, retention and lifetime value. AI-assisted personalisation at scale keeps the operation lean.
Daily work includes running a disciplined experiment roadmap with holdout groups and success measures that look past opens and clicks, creating adaptive content that draws on several data sources, and reporting stage conversion and retention results. The manager writes and reviews Arabic campaign copy that reads naturally rather than as a translation. The listing asks for proven ownership of a lifecycle, fluency with Intercom, Braze or similar platforms, and a considered view on where AI helps. The role is based in Jeddah or Mecca, or the candidate must be willing to relocate there. No salary is stated.
Responsibilities
- Take end-to-end responsibility for the merchant lifecycle, from first sign-up through activation, growth, retention and win-back
- Define segments, build cohorts and set behavioural triggers that reduce drop-off
- Build and launch campaigns personally on WhatsApp, email, push and in-app channels
- Run an experimentation roadmap with controlled tests and holdout groups, judged on activation, retention and lifetime value
- Create adaptive, individualised content and wire tools and data feeds together so each merchant gets timely, relevant messages
- Scale content and personalisation through AI-assisted workflows with little operational overhead
- Own the journey map and keep the whole system coherent and continuously improving
- Share how well each stage converts and keeps merchants, backed by an active test queue
Requirements
- Demonstrated record of running a customer or merchant lifecycle from strategy through execution, with results to show
- Thorough command of lifecycle fundamentals: audience splits, cohort building, stage layout, triggers, retention, churn and lifetime value
- Practical campaign work in a customer-engagement platform such as Intercom or Braze, technical enough to run triggers, flows, adaptive content and API data links without engineering help
- An experimentation mindset, including ideas that were dropped on the evidence
- Experience building dynamic content systems that link several data sources into one journey
- Active use of AI in lifecycle work and a clear view of where it adds value
- Working-level fluency in Arabic and English, enough to write, review and launch Arabic campaign copy that feels native
Qualifications
- Time spent inside or alongside a SaaS business, preferably regional
- Real understanding of how shopkeepers and small firms think
- Living in Jeddah or Mecca, or ready to move there
