Job Description
Affirm is in the process of launching a de novo bank. This full-time, remote Senior Manager role helps set up and scale the bank's day-to-day operating base. The leader is responsible for Finxact and the digital banking front end, and sets the approach for deposit and lending operations. Working alongside service teams, the role creates dependable, tightly controlled workflows so customers receive clear, trustworthy products.
On the core platform, the leader sets up and runs Finxact as the bank's record of truth. That covers product designs, rates and fees, posting logic, account settings, ledger mappings, user permissions and controlled production releases. The leader also runs the Savana platform and the digital onboarding flow, plus online and mobile banking, leading user acceptance testing, release readiness and steady improvements.
The leader oversees everyday deposit work, including matching Fed-related activity against the ledger and signing off on outgoing ACH and wire batches that require two approvers. Lending operations are part of the role too: validating underwriting output, approving fundings within delegated authority and reconciling loan activity. The role also covers loan purchase and sale operations, from eligibility checks through settlement and audit.
The leader builds and maintains the control environment, including procedures, maker-checker controls, reconciliations and audit readiness. Compliance colleagues cover BSA/AML and OFAC matters alongside consumer protection duties, and the leader oversees affiliate services and critical vendors. The role also involves leading and developing a high-performing operations team, setting metrics for timeliness and control effectiveness, and reporting to bank leadership.
