pfm medical, inc. is seeking a Senior Manager, Investigator Grants to direct the global grants department and manage investigator site disbursements through the Clinical Trial Management System. This position functions as the primary financial authority on project teams, supervising payment execution, advance balance reconciliation, and monthly financial reporting. The chosen candidate will interact extensively with clients to evaluate investigator grant outcomes, accruals, budget forecasts, and change orders. Additionally, the individual will act as the primary contact with Business Operational Excellence to facilitate the adoption of the CTMS Site Payment Module.
This opportunity is suited for finance and accounting professionals with substantial contract research organization background and direct supervisory experience. The position involves maintaining compliance with Clinical Trial Agreement terms, overseeing Sunshine Act reporting, and collaborating closely with Project Directors and Project Managers to configure payment schedules accurately.
Responsibilities
- Manage the global grants team handling investigator site payment processing through the Clinical Trial Management System
- Act as financial lead on project teams to guarantee payments align with Clinical Trial Agreement financial terms
- Partner directly with clients during regular meetings to review grant results, accruals, forecasting, and change order budgets
- Collaborate with Business Operational Excellence during the implementation and transition phases of the CTMS Site Payment Module
- Configure and maintain global site payment terms and schedules within the CTMS by interpreting Clinical Trial Agreements
- Contribute to month-end close by generating global project-specific reports covering invoiced amounts, remaining balances, and prepaid analyses
- Supervise the Sunshine Act Reporting process and generate client reports using CTMS payment data
- Guide Project Directors and Project Managers regarding Clinical Trial Agreement financial sections and visit tracking
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of five years of contract research organization experience or equivalent relevant experience and competencies
- Minimum of three years of experience managing direct reports
- Familiarity with international clinical trial payment processes, site budgets, and clinical trial agreements
- Strong understanding of study start-up procedures, grant administration, and site contracting globally
Qualifications
- Experience implementing a site payment module within a Clinical Trial Management System including data validation, system setup, and user training
- Familiarity with Veeva Vault CTMS
