Job Description
Affirm is recruiting a Senior Manager, Programs for Global Expansion and New Initiatives on its Operations team. The role is remote. It sets the strategy for how Customer Operations grows to serve new offerings, partner companies, regions and sales channels, and it speaks for operations across international business teams.
The manager sets direction for customer operations across a portfolio of intricate expansion programs spanning several functions, and leads a group of program and process managers. The work covers operating plans, objectives, policies and procedures for initiatives across regions, along with the methods and success measures used to judge them. The manager also owns post-launch performance for the international portfolio and keeps global teams informed through regular routines.
The role coordinates closely with service delivery, knowledge, training, risk, analytics, engineering and product leaders. Governance, business reviews, communication plans, and the tracking of risks and dependencies all fall to this position. The manager answers for decisions that shape medium-term results and sometimes carry company-wide consequences.
The ideal candidate has at least a dozen years in a relevant field, with five of them spent leading teams or managing managers. Strong program and process management, knowledge of customer care, fraud or merchant operations, and background in financial services or consumer lending are valued, and experience running programs across several geographies is strongly preferred. The posting says visa sponsorship is not available. The listed base pay is $195,000 to $255,000 USD in California, Washington, New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, and $173,000 to $233,000 USD in other states.
