Bosch is hiring a senior mechanical design engineer in Bengaluru to support plant engineering for braking systems, with a focus on two-wheeler ABS at the Chakan plant. The role covers resolving production issues, a smooth start of serial production, root cause analysis, cost reduction and supplier localization. It is a full-time, on-site position requiring 8 to 12 years of mechanical design or development experience.
Responsibilities
- Resolve manufacturing issues affecting output and support smooth serial production start
- Drive defect reduction and root cause analysis using 8D, Ishikawa and 5-Why methods
- Lead design optimization, value engineering and cost-saving projects
- Improve OEE, cycle time and productivity on production lines
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant mechanical design or development experience
- Preferably 3+ years in automotive braking systems, such as two-wheeler ABS
- Experience with FMEA, PFMEA, BES-PE and PEP processes
- Experience with component ownership and mentoring engineers
Qualifications
- B.E, B.Tech, M.E or M.Tech in mechanical engineering
- Skills in NX and Teamcenter, GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis
- Japanese language at JLPT N5 level is listed as expected
