Responsibilities
- Translate customer requirements into robust mechanical designs for steering components
- Create and review 3D models, 2D drawings and GD&T documentation
- Plan and estimate engineering activities to meet timelines and quality targets
- Mentor junior engineers and drive design optimization and cost-saving initiatives
Requirements
- 10+ years of mechanical design or development experience
- Preferably 3+ years in automotive steering or chassis systems
- Proficiency in CATIA, Creo, NX or SolidWorks
- Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, DFMA and FMEA
Qualifications
- B.E, B.Tech, M.E or M.Tech in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Good communication and technical leadership skills
- Experience with global, cross-functional teams
