Job Description
EMEA is the biggest and most developed region for Wise Platform. This London role covers keeping partners in the UK and Germany connected and protecting the transaction volume they send. Those partners are Tier 1 accounts that together generate more than 10 million GBP in yearly revenue, and they rely on intricate integrations such as cards, MCA, correspondent sending through an API or Swift, and correspondent receiving.
The job is advisory as well as operational. The holder counsels senior people at partner firms, runs quarterly reviews that connect service results to revenue targets, and coordinates with the account manager on each partner's roadmap. Beyond daily management, the role hunts for hidden internal bottlenecks that could cap partner revenue, such as adding currencies, increasing card uptake, or cutting error and query rates, and builds data-based cases that persuade product, servicing, compliance and engineering teams to act.
When a major multi-region incident occurs, the post-holder may take command, coordinating technical, commercial and operations staff, writing partner-facing messages, and deciding when and how partners receive updates. After an incident, the role owns follow-up actions, remediation checks, and turning lessons into runbooks, escalation guides and communication criteria. Mentoring other members of the partner operations group is also expected.
The job is judged on a set of service measures: payment success, contact volume, request-for-information volume, defect incidence and a partner health score. Applicants need experience in project, operations or account roles for large payments, fintech or financial institutions, plus professional German in speech and writing, which is mandatory. Technical comfort with APIs, webhooks and payment networks, the ability to analyse data with SQL or dashboards such as Looker or Lightdash, and skill at negotiating and presenting to executives are required. Knowledge of AML, KYC and sanctions regimes, ownership of EMEA bank or fintech accounts, and French or Portuguese are advantages.
