The company is currently hiring a Senior Plant Issue Resolution Engineer - Electrical Systems to support quality and build readiness during manufacturing. This position operates between production and engineering to rapidly contain and resolve problems found during general assembly and end-of-line validation.

This role suits an experienced hardware or manufacturing professional with deep technical knowledge of automotive electrical architectures. The incumbent will collaborate across departments to identify root causes, establish corrective actions, and protect production flow. Team members in this position help drive vehicle readiness, manufacturing efficiency, and overall fleet reliability.

  • Prioritize roadblocks and foster Design for Manufacturing improvements.
  • Assist cross-functional partners in executing permanent corrective actions to prevent issues from happening again.
  • Contribute to prototype builds, production trials, and engineering changes to test fixes and enhance manufacturability.
  • Create and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reports to monitor issue status, closure rates, and recurrence.
  • Enhance Plant Issue Resolution Team processes regarding issue tracking, prioritization, and cross-functional execution.

Requirements

  • Possess 8 to 12 years of working experience within automotive original equipment manufacturers, robotics, aviation, or other complex hardware systems in manufacturing, product engineering, or sustaining environments.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, wiring harnesses, connectors, control units, compute, and sensor hardware.
  • Show proven experience leading root cause analysis and corrective actions in production, manufacturing, or field settings, including new product launch support.
  • Demonstrate strong cross-functional communication and problem-solving abilities to operate in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

  • Hold a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing, production process optimization, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Background working with autonomous vehicles, robotics, or electric vehicle systems.
  • Experience utilizing tools such as 3DX by Dassault, DELMIA, SAP ME/MII, JIRA, Confluence, SQL, Python, or data visualization tools.
