Job Description
Wise is hiring a Senior Product Analyst for its Global Fraud Squad in London. The purpose of the role is to help the company grow safely by spotting weak points in fraud controls and building its intelligence through data work. The analyst collaborates across teams and turns findings into operational changes that improve how Wise detects, prevents and responds to fraud.
Much of the work is proactive. Using transaction, event and case records, the analyst looks for unusual patterns, unguarded areas and gaps in control coverage, then reports results and suggested steps to the squad. Root-cause and cohort studies reveal what makes a control effective or ineffective, leading to prioritised remediation proposals. The analyst also designs detection rules and features for Wise's detection engine and examines how controls shape the customer experience.
The role owns fraud KPIs across products and markets, coordinating with product leads, data scientists, ops staff and fellow analysts to connect commercial outcomes to control-level measurements. For new market launches, the analyst becomes the principal analytics partner for fraud, models pre-launch risk to forecast exposure and workload, and recommends whether to proceed by weighing risk, cost and customer effects. Findings often reach Product and Risk Committees.
Applicants should bring at least three years of product analytics in a complicated, data-heavy environment, and an intuition for payments, transaction flows and online activity. Advanced SQL, Python with pandas or scikit-learn, and dashboard building in Looker, Tableau or Power BI are essential. Experience in fintech, payments or fraud, feature engineering, model monitoring, and tools such as Airflow, dbt, Git, Snowflake or production data platforms would be useful. A hands-on approach and clear communication with senior leaders complete the profile.
