Spotify is hiring a Senior Product Manager to guide the audiobook experience on mobile applications within the Format Foundations and Core Experience team. In this position, the professional will collaborate with the Audiobooks business unit to influence how users find, assess, consume, and connect with audiobooks. The employer crafts consumer experiences across platforms, screens, and partner integrations, aiming to make listening seamless and personal for global audiences.
This role is ideal for an experienced product leader with a background in digital reading or audiobooks who can navigate complex, cross-functional projects. The chosen candidate will develop strategy, define the user journey from discovery to playback, and combine listening and reading formats. Responsibilities involve partnering with engineering, design, and data departments to deliver scalable, intuitive solutions based on user insights and experimentation.
The position is based out of London or Stockholm. The organization provides flexible working arrangements allowing employees to work from home, with occasional in-person meetings required.
Responsibilities
- Formulate product strategy for the audiobook experience to drive value for listeners, creators, and the business
- Manage the user journey across discovery, evaluation, playback, library management, and reading
- Translate business strategy and listener requirements into product innovations
- Innovate across multimodal experiences combining listening and reading
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and data teams to release high-quality features at scale
- Utilize data, testing, and user research to guide product choices
- Coordinate with core experience, audiobooks, and personalization partners for a unified platform
- Oversee complex cross-functional initiatives from definition to delivery with engineering
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of product management experience
- Background working with audiobooks, ebooks, digital reading, or related consumer goods
- Familiarity with the audiobook or digital reading sector, including user habits and publisher ecosystems
- Experience developing consumer software for iOS and Android mobile platforms
- Ability to balance user needs, technical limits, and business goals
- Experience collaborating with engineering, design, and data disciplines
- Proficiency in using artificial intelligence tools for research, analysis, iteration, and prototyping
