Job Description
Affirm is recruiting a Senior Product Manager for its Consumer Payments team. The role is remote. The team governs how customers make payments to Affirm, and this job centers on building payment experiences that make repayment simpler, lifting successful payments and deciding how payments are processed safely at a sensible cost.
The job starts with understanding the customer. The product manager finds where paying breaks down using research and data, shares those findings across the team, and designs and runs experiments that target better conversion, stronger payment success and lower cost. The role partners with the design and analytics groups from the first idea to launch.
The product manager is a dependable collaborator for partnerships, engineering, finance, design and product colleagues, weighing performance and risk when shaping how payments move. Part of the job is shaping a bold roadmap: spotting the biggest-return opportunities and walking senior leadership through the plan.
The ideal candidate has 5 or more years in product management and is comfortable relying on test outcomes and customer studies to make calls. They know how the technical side operates and what compromises it brings, have taken products from discovery through iteration, and can influence without formal authority. Background in payments, fintech or online retail is a bonus. The listed base pay is $195,000 to $255,000 in California, Washington, New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, and $173,000 to $233,000 in other states.
