GitLab is hiring a Senior Product Manager for Data Integrations to join its Core Data Products organization in Bangalore, India. GitLab operates as an intelligent orchestration platform for DevSecOps, serving over 50 million registered users. In this position, you will determine which external systems connect to the Data Insights Platform and Orbit, orchestrating how third-party data aligns with shared models to provide a unified context alongside GitLab code, merge requests, and security vulnerabilities.
This role suits an experienced product manager with a background in the software development and operations ecosystem who can establish clear priorities, map external data sources, and collaborate closely with engineering teams. Team members incorporate artificial intelligence as a daily productivity multiplier to drive efficiency and innovation. Please note that while the position is based in Bangalore, you will work from home and visit the local office when required for team activities or business needs.
Responsibilities
- Determine integration priorities by gathering evidence from customers, field teams, and product colleagues to address context gaps
- Design how external data translates into GitLab shared data models, covering ETL and source compatibility transformations
- Establish customer use cases and user segments for every integration
- Partner with engineering to agree on delivery sequences, trade-offs, and user experiences
- Translate strategic product decisions into actionable epics and issues for the engineering backlog
- Establish telemetry and adoption metrics to evaluate how connected data helps users answer new queries
- Contribute to integration packaging and pricing strategies as the product matures
- Leverage GitLab and AI coding agents to investigate data, prototype integrations, and write documentation
Requirements
- Demonstrated product management experience connecting customer needs to priorities and balancing trade-offs with partial information
- Solid understanding of the DevOps ecosystem, encompassing IT service management, security, observability, and planning tools
- Practical knowledge of data integration, ETL, and data transformation concepts
- Familiarity with utilizing AI tools for documentation and prototyping tasks
- Clear communication skills and a data-driven approach to evaluating feature adoption
- Willingness to be based in Bangalore or relocate there
