The company is hiring a Senior Product Manager I to join the Product Organization for remote work from any location in the United States where Smartsheet is a registered employer. In this role, you will take accountability for business-impacting investments within ambiguous environments, establishing strategies aligned with commercial goals, customer needs, and industry directions. You will report to a Director of Product Management situated in the Boston office.
This position focuses heavily on the Billing and Admin experience, overseeing the functions that enterprise IT teams, billing owners, and administrators use to manage governance, user licenses, access, and commercial connections with Smartsheet. Your daily work involves setting a product vision, partnering with technical and product leaders, and collaborating with design, research, engineering, and data science teams to build high-scale platform capabilities. Successful candidates will manage both tactical and strategic tasks while utilizing artificial intelligence tools to support documentation, research synthesis, analysis, and prototyping.
Responsibilities
- Define a vision and strategy based on company objectives, customer needs, and industry practices
- Collaborate with technical and product leaders across the company to align strategy and platform investments
- Understand customer subscription acquisition, provisioning, and management including plan entitlements, upgrades, and invoicing
- Partner with sales, product marketing, pricing, and packaging teams to position admin and billing capabilities
- Evaluate artificial intelligence applications to improve customer features while maintaining trust, accuracy, and control
- Use AI tools to augment personal work tasks like research synthesis, prototyping, and analysis
- Present product concepts, strategy, and roadmaps to senior leadership
- Work alongside research, design, and engineering to build customer experiences
- Guide experiments and decisions using internal and external data
- Communicate strategy, product health, and experimentation metrics to a wide audience
- Write strategy, execution, and requirements documents
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience
- Experience partnering with engineering, design, user research, and marketing teams
- Delivered user experiences with high-scale platforms
- Experience with agile development processes and frequent product releases
- Experience delivering complex consumer or B2B enterprise software products from inception to launch
- Strong presentation and communication skills
Qualifications
- Technical degree or equivalent experience working with engineers on product decisions
