GitLab seeks a Senior Professional Services Project Manager (EMEA) to oversee complex initiatives from start to finish. GitLab operates an intelligent orchestration platform for DevSecOps, helping organizations boost developer productivity, enhance operational efficiency, reduce security and compliance risks, and accelerate digital transformation. Over 50 million registered users and more than half of the Fortune 100 rely on GitLab to ship more secure software faster.
In this position, you will coordinate global customers and cross-functional teams to complete projects on time and within budget. You will handle executive communications, resolve escalations, and refine project management practices within Professional Services. The role suits professionals with background in managing software consulting or information technology projects, utilizing both traditional and agile methodologies. Team members are expected to incorporate artificial intelligence into daily workflows as a productivity multiplier.
Responsibilities
- Manage large-scale commercial projects, executive stakeholder meetings, and communications
- Partner with Support, Engineering, and Product divisions to address complex customer issues utilizing GitLab technology
- Enhance Professional Services procedures, tools, templates, and operational processes
- Compile monthly customer project summaries and prepare reports for quarterly business reviews
- Oversee delivery timelines, project scope, resources, customer expectations, risks, and issues for consulting and technical services
- Handle customer escalations by linking clients with the executive team, Sales, and Technical Account Managers
- Build repeatable, dependable delivery metrics and operational procedures
- Meet forecasting targets by coordinating clients, project engineers, Technical Architects, partner consultants, and delivery teams
Requirements
- Experience managing external customer information technology or software consulting projects from beginning to completion
- Skill in overseeing project scope, schedules, resources, expectations, risks, issues, and multiple priorities while delivering concise executive updates
- Ability to build professional relationships with client leaders, communicate with stakeholders, and handle escalations
- Capacity to identify and solve project hurdles, motivate advisory teams, and resolve conflicts
- Experience supporting timely revenue recognition and processing change orders when necessary
- Familiarity with project management and technical delivery methods such as PMI frameworks, Scrum, agile, software development life cycles, and agile or project management tools like GitLab
