Precision Medicine Group seeks a remote Senior Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and lead clinical study projects. In this full-time role, the professional will serve as the primary contact for clients, oversee cross-functional services and external vendors, and manage budgets to ensure financial health and project profitability. This position suits an experienced clinical researcher who can independently drive study execution, build comprehensive project plans, oversee quality management, and handle risk mitigation. Precision Medicine Group operates in the pharmaceutical and device research sectors, supporting global trials.
The chosen candidate will collaborate closely with clinical operations, prepare status updates for clients and management, lead internal and external meetings, and deliver formal presentations including bid defenses. Additional duties involve establishing tracking metrics, ensuring compliance with study training, managing change requests, and providing performance feedback to team members. The role requires handling international and domestic travel as needed for business development and bid defense activities.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main contact and escalation point for clients
- Oversee all functional services and external vendors to adhere to timelines and budgets
- Monitor study financial health, profitability, billable hours, and billing accuracy
- Create comprehensive project plans incorporating proactive risk management and mitigation
- Manage quality control, eTMF inspection readiness, and corrective action plans
- Establish tracking metrics and report progress to clients and senior leadership
- Lead internal and client meetings, including formal presentations and bid defenses
- Collaborate with functional areas to ensure study-specific training and compliance
- Provide ongoing feedback and annual performance reviews for functional team members
Requirements
- At least 7 years of clinical research experience or proven competencies for the role
- Minimum of 4 years of direct project management experience
- Background in managing complex and global trials
- Direct work experience in a global, cross-functional project management setting
- Experience in pharmaceutical or device research
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, Microsoft Project, eTMF, EDC, and CTMS
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally with overnight stays
- Legal authorization to work in the country of employment without employer sponsorship
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a science or health-related field for North American applicants
- Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a science or health-related field for European applicants
- Advanced degree
- Experience with oncology, cell therapy, or gene therapy trials
