The Codest, an international tech software company operating tech hubs in Poland, is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join its team on a remote basis. This organization specializes in delivering global IT solutions, cloud engineering, web development, quality assurance, and scaling tech teams for partners and clients.
In this position, the engineer will participate in a fintech project focused on supplying loans to funds managed by asset managers. The application is hosted on an independent AWS account. While some automated testing is already in place, additional automation initiatives are planned. The recruitment process includes an initial 30-minute online screening call with a recruiter, a one-hour technical interview with the test lead, and a one-hour final interview with the client.
Responsibilities
- Create automated test scripts to verify functionality and performance throughout development phases
- Develop structured and detailed test plans and cases
- Estimate, prioritize, and plan testing activities
- Find, record, and track software bugs
- Run full regression testing after defect fixes
- Set up and execute testing procedures that match client needs
- Track quality assurance metrics including open defect counts and defect densities
Requirements
- Advanced verbal and written English communication skills
- At least 4 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Test Automation
- Proficiency in a programming language, with a preference for Python
- Experience in integration testing, performance testing, and test automation, preferably utilizing Selenium and PyTest
- Background in system testing and software integration within AWS cloud environments
- Experience working with CI/CD and build pipeline integrations
Qualifications
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
- Knowledge of SOAP/XML and REST/JSON web services
- Understanding of modern browser technologies, CSS3, and HTML5
