The company is hiring a remote Solution and Fullstack Engineer to join an AI-first engineering team. This professional will work on an innovative banking application functioning as a cross-asset post-trade execution platform for a major financial group in Japan. The role involves processing large financial data volumes, integrating third-party settlement and trade matching services, and providing tools like position reporting and Trade Blotters. The candidate will manage end-to-end solutions, make architectural choices, and convert business needs into scalable implementations while actively utilizing AI-powered development instruments and coding assistants.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain fullstack solutions utilizing Python or Python and Java on the backend alongside JavaScript for the frontend
- Develop responsive user interfaces and connect them to backend services and APIs
- Create scalable backend components and APIs
- Manage technical solutions through every stage from requirements analysis and architecture to implementation and deployment
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL database structures, queries, functions, views, and triggers
- Utilize AI-powered coding tools and assistants to boost delivery speed and code quality
- Incorporate AI-driven automation and innovative practices into engineering workflows
- Construct rapid prototypes to test technical concepts quickly
- Participate in technical planning, architectural discussions, code reviews, and testing
- Cooperate with international, cross-functional teams to align business goals with technical output
- Identify automation and technical optimization opportunities while promoting clean code standards
Requirements
- Advanced written and spoken English communication skills
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial software engineering experience, focusing on backend or fullstack development
- Demonstrated commercial expertise working with Python
- Practical background in JavaScript and modern frontend frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular
- Comprehensive understanding of distributed systems, REST APIs, and fullstack application architecture
- Extensive experience with PostgreSQL covering query optimization, database design, indexes, and triggers
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming principles and clean code practices
- Hands-on use of AI-assisted development platforms such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude Code
- An AI-first mindset open to leveraging automation and emerging technologies
- Ability to address technical challenges with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and performance
- Experience with version control, CI/CD procedures, and modern development workflows
Qualifications
- Professional background in banking, financial services, or fintech applications
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS
- Experience working with Docker and containerized environments
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems
- Experience using TypeScript alongside modern frontend architectures
- Familiarity with event-driven systems and microservices architecture
