This full-time, on-site Senior Research Engineer or Scientist role in Hyderabad focuses on LLM training and agentic AI at ServiceNow. The researcher owns continued pretraining, supervised fine-tuning, preference optimisation and reinforcement learning work, and studies how training changes affect agent behaviour in downstream tasks.

Responsibilities
- Own LLM mid-training and post-training research, including data-mixture and experimental decisions
- Prototype novel agent architectures across planning, memory, tool use, retrieval and multi-agent collaboration
- Build research harnesses that support reproducible experiments and trajectory analysis
- Find systematic model and agent failure patterns and turn them into new research or training changes
Requirements
- Five or more years in machine learning, deep learning or AI research with applied results
- Hands-on experience with LLM training or post-training, such as SFT, preference optimisation or RL
- Strong Python and advanced PyTorch skills
Qualifications
- Experience designing evaluation methods such as benchmarks, LLM-as-a-judge and human evaluation
- Record of communicating findings through publications, patents or open-source work
