Elastic is hiring a senior Salesforce engineer to work across the full stack on Salesforce, MuleSoft and related business systems. The role focuses on streamlining critical revenue processes, scaling platform architecture and building AI-driven automations that remove manual work.
Responsibilities include designing, building and shipping features from start to finish, covering user interfaces, APIs, business rules, data structures and connections to other systems. The engineer would build component-based front ends and back-end services, apply object-oriented design practices, and connect systems through interface standards and messaging-based designs.
On Salesforce, development uses Lightning Web Components, Apex, SOQL and SOSL, Flows, plus the built-in permission rules that govern data access, with support for engineers new to the platform. The role also covers agentic and AI-powered features with governance and human review, and ownership of each feature from solution design through testing, deployment and production support.
Engineers rely on AI coding assistants throughout the lifecycle, for example Cursor, Claude Code or Codex, and must review AI-generated output for correctness, security and performance. The work also touches delivery pipelines, test automation, peer review and Agile team routines.
Candidates need at least five years of professional full-stack experience and a bachelor's degree in a related technical field. Responsibilities
- Take features from first design to launch, covering UI, APIs, business logic and integrations
- Build component-based front ends and robust back-end services and APIs
- Design and implement connections between systems using interface standards and messaging-based designs
- Develop on Salesforce with Lightning Web Components, Apex, SOQL and SOSL, Flows and the security model
- Explore agentic and AI-powered features with appropriate governance and human checks
- Own features through solution design, testing, deployment and production support
- Contribute to delivery pipelines, test automation, code review and Agile team routines
Requirements
- At least five years working across the full stack in professional roles
- A bachelor's degree in a related technical field
- Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS and modern frameworks, plus object-oriented programming, REST API design and SQL
- Daily experience with AI-assisted coding tools, with the judgement to evaluate generated code
- Working familiarity with design patterns, the development lifecycle, Agile, Git and delivery pipelines
- Analytical reasoning, problem-solving ability and clear cross-functional communication
