As part of this mission, the company is seeking a Senior Security Engineer (IC5) to join the Detection and Response team on an on-site schedule.

This position suits a technical specialist with a background in incident handling and detection engineering who thrives in dynamic environments. In this capacity, the professional will manage high-stress security incidents, shape autonomic security operations, and minimize operational noise through AI-driven platforms. The individual will collaborate closely with various internal departments, including Infrastructure, Proactive Security, Legal, Communications, and Insider Trust.

Work takes place on-site at offices located in Bellevue, Washington, Menlo Park, California, or Denver, Colorado, requiring in-person attendance for a minimum of three days per week. Candidates should be comfortable participating in an on-site work environment designed to foster collaboration and high performance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and command security incident response workstreams with decisive leadership to contain threats and determine impact
  • Communicate critical incident details and updates effectively with leadership personnel
  • Develop, tune, and maintain a global detection catalog across cloud and Kubernetes systems for precise alerting
  • Architect the Autonomic Security Operations roadmap by incorporating automated issue discovery and AI agents
  • Analyze multi-language code architectures and codebases to spot vulnerabilities and direct remediation efforts
  • Fulfill rotational on-duty support obligations lasting one week per rotation

Requirements

  • Possess five or more years of professional background in Detection and Response, Incident Response, or Security Operations
  • Demonstrate prior success leading high-pressure incident responses with clear executive communication
  • Bring advanced technical competency in securing cloud platforms with a strong emphasis on Kubernetes
  • Read, analyze, and reason through software code across multiple programming languages
  • Design, tune, and operate scalable detection pipelines, SOAR playbooks, and AI-driven security workflows
  • Commit to working on-site in Bellevue, Washington, Menlo Park, California, or Denver, Colorado at least three days per week

Qualifications

  • Practical experience conducting threat hunting, vulnerability management, red team operations, or threat intelligence
  • Previous employment history within high-growth financial technology organizations, crypto platforms, or managed security service providers
  • Familiarity with blockchain networks, decentralized finance technologies, and related tools
