Robinhood is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Custody Services to join its Custody Services division. The organization manages digital asset custody providers, blockchain node operations, third-party integrations, and crypto infrastructure that handles transactions, staking, lending, and compliance. This role focuses on the intersection of infrastructure and security, dealing with wallet workflows, key management, and cloud environments.
This position is based in the Ljubljana, Slovenia office, with in-person attendance required at least three days per week. The role includes participation in an on-call rotation. Ideal candidates are experienced software engineers who possess a strong background in cloud infrastructure, containerization, and production-grade security.

Responsibilities
- Build and operate AWS infrastructure supporting custody, key management, and blockchain node operations
- Automate configuration management and infrastructure utilizing Terraform, Ansible, or similar tooling
- Maintain the health and availability of blockchain nodes across supported networks
- Develop and maintain infrastructure management and wallet operation services in Python
- Manage integrations with third-party digital asset custodians
- Deploy and manage containerized custody stack components using Docker and Kubernetes
- Configure monitoring and alerting systems using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
- Implement security standards and access controls for key management and incident response
- Provide on-call support to resolve production issues and ensure system reliability
Requirements
- Senior-level experience operating production cloud infrastructure on AWS
- Production experience managing blockchain nodes
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tooling such as Terraform or Ansible
- Experience running containerized workloads utilizing Docker and Kubernetes
- Production experience with Python and/or Go programming
- Background in security-focused systems where access control and key management are critical
- Experience with monitoring stacks such as Prometheus and Grafana
- Availability to participate in an on-call rotation
- Ability to work from the Ljubljana office at least three days per week
