Job Description

Robinhood operates with a mission to democratize finance for all, positioning itself at the center of massive generational wealth transfers. The organization relies heavily on an internal AI-accelerated workforce where employees across various departments build working prototypes of tools they need. The Senior Software Engineer, Enterprise Build position sits within a small, high-leverage team dedicated to transforming those AI-generated prototypes into production-grade enterprise services.

In this capacity, you will evaluate experimental applications originating from sandbox environments, determining whether to rebuild them into secure solutions that adhere to corporate engineering requirements like single sign-on, audit logging, and automated infrastructure. You will leverage AI agents to assist with initial assessments, porting, and test scaffolding while collaborating closely with departments such as finance, human resources, legal, and compliance. This role suits technical professionals who excel at bridging complex business workflows with secure software delivery in a heavily regulated financial sector.

This position is based out of the Menlo Park office, requiring personnel to be on-site at least three days per week. The group values in-person collaboration to foster innovation and drive productivity. Selected candidates will receive performance-driven compensation, equity options, matching retirement plans, comprehensive healthcare coverage, a flexible lifestyle wallet, and extensive time-off options.

  • Design, construct, and launch services on enterprise platforms that meet rigorous security and reliability standards
  • Drive AI-native development workflows, utilizing agents for initial assessments, porting, and test scaffolding
  • Collaborate directly with sponsoring business units like finance, HR, legal, and compliance to translate workflows into adopted software
  • Deliver operational handoffs that include runbooks, evaluations, and performance dashboards
  • Establish standard platform capabilities by turning recurring solutions into reusable platform tools
  • Conduct thorough code reviews for AI-generated code produced by yourself and team members

Requirements

  • Have at least five years of software engineering experience building and operating production backend or full-stack systems
  • Demonstrate hands-on cloud depth, with a preference for GCP, containerized services, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code
  • Show daily fluency in agentic coding tools and experience building LLM-powered applications or agentic workflows
  • Possess product sense and scoping discipline to identify viable parts of prototypes and conclude engagements efficiently
  • Exhibit strong communication skills to work directly with non-technical business partners
  • Work on-site in the Menlo Park, California office at least three days per week
