Job Description
Apollo.io is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack to join the Builder Studio team and help develop its new product for creating custom go-to-market software using plain English prompts. The company operates as an AI-powered go-to-market platform providing verified contact data and engagement tools for revenue teams globally. In this position, you will own major sections of Builder Studio end to end, spanning both the customer-facing builder experience and the underlying systems that execute generated applications. You will tackle complex technical challenges such as working with autonomous agents that write code on behalf of users, creating secure runtimes to execute generated software, and designing intuitive interfaces for non-technical users. Ideal candidates treat AI-assisted development as a core part of their daily workflow and bring deep fullstack expertise in building stateful applications and production software.
Builder Studio merges user interfaces, structured databases, backend workflows, and AI agents into a unified application builder natively connected to Apollo data. The team works in a fast-paced environment taking an early product toward a broad commercial launch. Responsibilities include building the core chat-driven creation loops, developing safe code execution runtimes, managing delegated user permissions, and integrating external data systems. You will collaborate directly with design partners and customers to iterate on product feedback quickly while maintaining high standards for performance, reliability, and security.
Responsibilities
- Build core studio experiences such as the chat-driven build loop, live preview canvas, and sharing workflows
- Shape how AI agents translate natural-language objectives into structured plans, pages, databases, and workflows
- Design backend runtimes and workflow layers incorporating triggers, scheduled jobs, retries, logging, and execution steps
- Manage delegated identity, permissions, secrets, and system isolation to ensure generated applications adhere to user access levels
- Expand integrated data connections across Apollo resources and third-party tools like Google Drive, Google Sheets, and CRMs
- Collaborate directly with design partners and customers to translate feedback into shipped product improvements
- Set engineering patterns, establish tests and evaluations, and maintain reliability, performance, and cost standards
Requirements
- Have at least five years of experience building and shipping production software with depth in both frontend and backend development
- Demonstrate strong TypeScript and React capabilities, including experience with complex stateful user interfaces like editors or canvases
- Possess solid backend and API design experience, particularly with event-driven or workflow systems involving retries and observability
- Bring hands-on experience developing with large language models in production environments, such as agent loops, tool calling, and code generation
- Show comfort making security-related decisions regarding sandboxing, scoped tokens, and handling untrusted or generated code
- Provide a track record of taking an ambiguous zero-to-one product from a prototype to a reliable customer-facing solution
- Maintain fluency with AI-assisted development tools and practices
Qualifications
- Experience developing low-code, no-code, or AI app-builder products and developer tools
- Familiarity with edge or serverless runtimes like Cloudflare Workers and Durable Objects
- Prior experience working with Ruby on Rails at scale
- Background in go-to-market, sales, marketing technology, or collaboration with RevOps teams
Core Skills
Benefits
- Equity and company bonus opportunities
- Paid holidays, flexible paid time off, and parental leave
- Employee assistance program and wellbeing benefits
