The company is currently hiring a Senior Software Engineer to drive global expansion initiatives from its Toronto office.
This position involves building localized customer experiences, bridging high-performance frontend interfaces with resilient backend distributed systems, and designing scalable platform abstractions. Professionals joining this team will handle tasks ranging from multi-currency funding to regional asset trading while maintaining high standards for security, availability, and compliance.
This role suits experienced software engineers with a strong background in full stack development who want to tackle complex technical challenges in a fast-paced environment. Candidates will collaborate closely with product management, design, legal, compliance, and platform teams.
Please note that this is an on-site position requiring attendance at the Toronto office at least three days per week.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain frontend interfaces utilizing React and TypeScript
- Scale robust backend services built with Go and Python
- Own the technical delivery of international capabilities such as localized onboarding funnels and identity verification
- Build multi-currency funding rails and region-specific trading experiences
- Construct promotion engines and user acquisition pipelines to accelerate global market adoption
- Architect modular internationalization services and frameworks
- Implement telemetry, automated testing, and participate in production on-call rotations
- Collaborate with Product Management, Product Design, Compliance, Legal, and Platform teams
Requirements
- Have at least 5 years of professional software engineering experience designing, building, and operating production systems across the full stack
- Demonstrate proficiency with React, TypeScript, performance, accessibility, and state management
- Possess strong experience building scalable distributed services in Go or Python
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Redis
- Utilize event-driven architectures such as Kafka
- Show a proven track record of taking complex features from ambiguity through technical design, phased rollout, and production validation
- Understand RESTful APIs, gRPC, service-oriented architectures, and microservice integration patterns
- Work on-site in the Toronto, Canada office at least 3 days per week
