Responsibilities
- Build and maintain production software implementing HL7 and FHIR healthcare interoperability standards
- Develop and test APIs, data pipelines, and services dealing with FHIR resources and HL7 messages
- Convert implementation guides and standards into code, data models, validation logic, and automated tests
- Maintain data quality and clinical meaning when information flows across systems
- Collaborate with operational personnel and product managers to create new features
- Define and maintain development practices emphasizing documentation, quality, and testing
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of professional software engineering experience
- Practical background building production software utilizing HL7 and FHIR
- Coding proficiency in Python, Go, or JavaScript
- Experience writing SQL queries across database systems such as Postgres, MySQL, Snowflake, or BigQuery
- Background working as a data engineer to clean, normalize, and enhance data quality
- Ability to create and call RESTful APIs
- Experience utilizing cloud services including AWS or GCP
