Defense Unicorns is seeking a remote Senior Solutions Architect to guide customers and technical teams toward mission success through the Unicorn Delivery Service projects. The employer builds secure software delivery solutions, continuous integration tools, and automation pipelines for defense and civil agencies across the public and private sectors. This remote position offers a salary range of $148,750 to $201,250 USD.
This role serves as a primary trusted advisor for customer technical goals, while also mentoring a team of engineers, supporting discovery efforts, creating product demonstrations, and managing proof of concept projects. The position involves building continuous delivery pipelines and troubleshooting package bundles. Candidates must possess U.S. citizenship, a Secret security clearance, and the ability to travel up to 25 percent.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for customer technical needs and goals
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers while fostering continuous learning
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase team efficiency
- Assist with product demonstrations, content creation, and proof of concept work
- Build and maintain continuous delivery pipelines alongside UDS and Zarf packages
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for research and strategic growth
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to spot growth opportunities
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship
- Active Secret security clearance
- Availability to travel up to 25%
- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- 1+ years of experience in a management role
- Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and Containers
Qualifications
- Experience in growth engineering, digital marketing, or tech startup environments
- Knowledge of containerization and container orchestration with Kubernetes
- Familiarity with the CNCF ecosystem and tooling
- Understanding of cloud and on-premises system architecture
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python and JavaScript
- Experience with full-stack development, training, mentoring, and agile principles
- 5+ years of experience with Defense-based customer-facing interactions
