This opportunity fits professionals with extensive 5-axis milling experience and a strong background in modern CAM systems featuring 3D simulation and collision detection. Responsibilities
- Produce components ranging from initial prototypes to short-run batches using diverse materials
- Program 5-axis CNC equipment utilizing HyperMILL
- Design and machine fixtures for component holding during manufacturing
- Perform setup and teardown procedures on CNC machinery
- Coordinate with internal personnel to obtain precise data for component creation
- Help order necessary tooling and raw materials for the machine shop
- Build and maintain digital databases for tooling and work holding
- Collaborate with engineering groups to supply DFM feedback on machined parts
Requirements
- Extensive background as a 5-axis CNC mill machinist
- More than ten years of programming experience utilizing advanced CAM platforms equipped with 3D simulation and collision detection
- Working knowledge of Siemens and Heidenhain CNC controls
- Robust computer-aided design capabilities
- Ability to interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and dimensional blueprints
- Capacity to troubleshoot and resolve difficult technical challenges
Qualifications
- Prior background working with HyperMILL software
- Familiarity with Solidworks, JIRA, 3DX, CATIA, and ENOVIA
- Understanding of CNC turning processes, tooling, and machinery
- Experience using Esprit CAM software
