Deputy is hiring a Senior Strategic Finance Analyst for its Strategic Finance and Operations group, a full-time hybrid position. The group acts as an internal advisory unit for company leaders, digging into operational problems, pinpointing what drives the business, and shaping plans aimed at lifting performance and growth.
The job blends business partnering, financial modelling and operational analysis. The analyst produces financial and operational insight that helps teams meet goals on growth, efficiency and profit, and contributes to business cases, investment reviews and strategic projects. Building working relationships across departments and giving sound counsel to stakeholders are central to the role.
On the planning side, the analyst supports the annual plan and quarterly forecasts, and checks monthly results against budget. Automation and AI-supported tools are expected to sharpen forecast accuracy, speed up reporting and quicken decisions. Executive packs, dashboards and presentations for leadership are also part of the work.
Another strand covers SaaS and operating measures such as annual and monthly recurring revenue, churn, retention, acquisition cost, lifetime value and gross margin. The analyst converts large or messy datasets into concrete recommendations and handles one-off analyses of performance and opportunities as they arise.
Applicants need at least three years of analytical or strategic finance work. Backgrounds in investment banking or FP&A are preferred, as is strategic finance experience at a B2B software-as-a-service company. - Turn complex data into recommendations and run ad hoc analysis
Requirements
- At least three years in analytical or strategic finance
- Proven experience building models and influencing decisions through analysis
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills
- Meticulous attention to detail, plus problem-solving, reasoning and communication skills
- Comfort using AI tools for modelling, analysis and reporting
- Curiosity and a drive to improve processes and results
Qualifications
- Investment banking or FP&A background (preferred)
- Strategic finance experience at a B2B SaaS company (preferred)
