The finance team is currently hiring a Senior Tax Analyst to focus on corporate tax provisioning, general ledger accounting, and cross-departmental coordination.
This position is designed for an analytical professional with a foundational tax background who wants to expand their expertise in corporate tax operations. In this capacity, the individual will have their work reviewed by senior tax leadership, creating a mentorship environment focused on technical skill development. Key duties involve preparing income tax provisions under ASC 740, managing state and local sales tax filings, reconciling general ledger accounts at month-end and year-end, and acting as the main point of contact for accounts payable, accounts receivable, accounting, and legal departments regarding operational tax matters.

Responsibilities
- Manage the calculation and preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions under ASC 740, including deferred tax analyses and valuation allowances
- File and reconcile monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns across multiple state and local jurisdictions
- Verify customer exemption certificates, audit tax records, and resolve billing disputes
- Gather documentation and transaction data to support state and local sales tax audits
- Prepare tax-related general ledger journal entries for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end cycles
- Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for tax-related accounts such as accrued taxes, deferred taxes, and sales or payroll tax payable
- Collaborate with AP, AR, Accounting, and Legal departments to answer operational inquiries and explain tax guidelines
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2 to 4 years of tax experience gained in corporate tax, public accounting, or a hybrid environment
- Working knowledge of ASC 740 income tax accounting principles and general sales tax concepts
- Ability to clearly explain complex tax concepts in writing and verbally to non-tax personnel
- Comfort working within a structured environment that requires rigorous technical review of calculations and work papers
Qualifications
- Experience with software tools such as Zuora, Sage, Anrok, or Salesforce
- Familiarity with or exposure to AI-powered tools and an interest in applying artificial intelligence to tax operations
- CPA designation or active progress toward CPA certification
